I actually just finish this one in about 2 hours last night. (its was one of those i HAVE to paint right now right here kind of things) i was happy with it.

Old Family Photographs

when i finished this, i was so satisfied. I've never painted this sparse before but i think it turned out to be a beautiful portrait.

This is a portrait of some long gone relatives. i was inspired by an Artist of the name of Egon Schile for this piece.

Sketchbook

this was during Chemistry. Trish defiantly looked as if she would rather be anywhere else but there as she tried her hardest to block out the teachers nagging voice. i decided to capture her emotions.

her feet are too small. i still love it.

this is one of my favorite 5 min sketches. make your own meaning of it.

caught in a scribble mess.

This is my boyfriend, Rene. he was taking a nap as i started to doodle. i love him so much.

"Bata Fish" -watercolor
I liked this piece because of the fluid motion, give it an elegant feel but then the feeling is struck by the hook in the corner of the eye or the fish's mouth you might say, depending on your perspective. the "water" surrounding the fish can also be seen as the flesh surrounding the eyeball as the bubbles act at the eyebrow.

"Pigeon"-mixed Media
I loved the concept of new vs. old in this one. its a collaboration of old newspaper from 1964 topped with filmstrips of different Italian and roman architecture. to contradict the horizontal pattern, i painted a brightly colored pigeon as the focal. i chose the pigeon because usually people don't like them at all and look at them as the peasant bird as they always scavenge for crumbs. i personally love them, just how they look and act. so i created a bright pink and torques one to distract from the dirtiness of the breed, someone my look at it as an exotic bird for once.
